Hole in the Wall gang Camp

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp was founded in 1988 by Paul Newman with one simple premise in mind: that every child, no matter their illness, should experience the transformational spirit and friendships that go hand in hand with camp.

With unobtrusive expert medical care, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their families throughout the Northeast, free of charge. It’s a community that celebrates the fun, friendship and spirit of childhood where every kid can “raise a little hell.”

Through the generosity of others, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp community provides this unique healing experience to kids in need and their families, including those who may not be able to come to Camp.

Education Opens Doors was founded with the belief that all students deserve the opportunity to pursue their limitless potential. They have the right to understand the value of an education and how to access and attain all options available to them after high school.

They equip students, starting in middle school, with a self-guided student manual titled Roadmap to Success, which is composed of college and career knowledge in addition to soft skills not taught in traditional academic courses. They collaborate with schools and organizations in order to provide implementation support, instructional tools, and engaging lessons aligned to the manual and their specific needs.

Full Court Peace unites youth from different backgrounds through basketball. They help connect historically distant communities, opposing sides in religious conflict, and divergent groups from politically opposed countries.

They have done work domestically in Connecticut, as well as in Cuba, Northern Ireland, and Mexico using the lessons of basketball to bring people together.
